Buying a used Joy-Con charging dock: an inclusion checklist

Check the model, included accessories, packaging wear and controller exclusions before buying a used Nintendo Switch Joy-Con charging dock.

A picture on a box is not an included accessory

Retail packaging may show controllers to demonstrate a dock. Our PowerA 1501406 listing explicitly excludes Joy-Con controllers, even though controllers appear on the box. Read the included-items section and distinguish the actual item photos from product illustrations printed on packaging.

Identify the dock and power connection

The PowerA 1501406 listing describes a USB-powered dock with four Joy-Con charging positions, individual LED indicators and a weighted base. Check the exact model and ask which cables or power accessories come with that particular used unit. Do not assume every item shown in an original retail bundle remains included.

Treat packaging and device condition separately

This listing calls out substantial box wear, including creases, scuffs, edge wear, marks and adhesive residue. Worn packaging does not by itself describe the dock’s electrical performance. If you need confirmation that every charging position works, ask for the seller’s test details rather than relying on the appearance of the box.

Before checkout

Confirm the model, controller compatibility, included accessories and current availability. A four-position charging dock is one product, not four controllers. Keep any seller clarification with the listing details so the expected contents are clear before you pay.
