Sealed game or protective sleeve? What to check before buying
How to distinguish a protective outer sleeve from a game seal, check regional packaging, and ask useful questions before buying a physical game.

Start with the packaging, not the title
A clear protective sleeve and the original game wrapping are different things. A listing title that says sealed should still be read alongside its condition notes and photos. Our Ocarina of Time 3D listing describes the pictured case and a clear protective outer sleeve. Use the photos to see what that sleeve covers.
Ask for the views that answer your question
Look at the front, back, corners and edges of the case. If the wrap, opening edge or a damaged area is unclear, request a close-up of that part of the actual copy. Exterior photos alone do not establish the condition of an unseen disc or cartridge. An unopened copy cannot also have its contents inspected without opening it.
Check the edition and region
Read the platform, edition and rating markings on the photographed package. Our Ghost of Tsushima listing is the European PEGI 18 standard PS4 edition, not a Director’s Cut listing. Check the exact version you need and consult the platform or publisher for compatibility questions, especially for regional digital content.
A useful question to send a seller
Ask: Is the visible plastic the original game wrap, a separate protective sleeve, or both? Could you show the opening edges and any tears? Does this sale include the exact edition and case pictured? Keep the answer with your purchase records, and confirm the current price and availability on the checkout listing.
